one hundred days

I didn’t realize that John and I have been married for one hundred days until about six o’clock tonight. I came home from work to find a card stuck in the front door. It read: To Laurie Ruth on our 100th day of marriage. And inside, John had dinner and a load of laundry started and candles lit. Lovely.

Now he’s playing a David Gray song on his guitar– quite beautifully. I am a lucky girl, I really am.

Also, we watched The Boy in the Striped Pajamas tonight. Terribly sad but good move about Germany during the Holocaust. (if you have netflix, it’s one of the free ones.)
