Moving

image-5 image-6 image-7 image-8Well, friends, we are moving to a new apartment.  The living room windows overlook the woods (instead of a busy road as they do now), the bedrooms (still only 2) are a bit bigger, and there are closets.  So many closets.  And a mud room (not pictured, yet). There’s a gas fireplace (not as awesome as a real one, but should be fun in the winter, and by winter I mean of course the whole year except for July and August). John’s parents are coming to help us (otherwise I don’t know how we would do it) and we’ll be moving this Saturday! More pictures to come once we have everything set up in the new place!

  1. Looks beautiful Laurie!! I’m sure your mom told you that we just moved too! Funny we all keep doing these large life changes at the same time 🙂 and also, girl, looks like you don’t have a dishwasher?? We don’t either!!! The Japanese don’t really use them. Maybe you didn’t have one before, but I’m terrified. So far though actually, I’ve has less dirty dishes cluttering the kitchen and sink than before so maybe it will force me to be more practice about it. Anyway, the place looks beautiful! Can’t wait to see photos. I’ll try to take some of our place soon too so you can see

    1. Hey! Yes, Davey just told me! I can’t believe it. Glad you are got a new place before the baby! And yeah, no dishwasher. We actually haven’t had one since we’ve been married! The kitchen at the new place is tiny, but we have one IKEA island, and John’s parents are picking up another one, so we’re going to sort of build some extra kitchen space in…. Can’t wait to see pictures of your new place! Let’s talk soon– I want to hear how everything is going! love you!

  2. love the cozy fridays from our people! And congrats on the move – wow. It’s a big job. I’m seeing an earlier comment…we’ve seen portable dishwashers(reg and half size) that plug into the sink – they are worth the trouble for some people. Now I see countertop ones also! home depot, sears, best buy, lowes. Can you say Christmas Wish List?! xoxo auntiem
